Private press comp of the annual Surinam song festival, mostly slow soul ballads, but the track 'Boni Doro' is possibly the best in all the series - a horn driven Afro funk groove with wah wah, synth licks and conscious lyrics about the history of Surinam's freed slaves, and a rawness that sounds more like a '70s recording than one from 1984. Limited edition, seriously rare!
Comes with text inlay.
Sleeve has very light wear and tiny bit of dirt on back; vinyl is clean with hairline mark on last track of side A (not an interesting tune). Boni Doro plays very well.
